Web site localization involves the translation and localization of content, images, icons and formats to a specific language and culture.

This requires sensitive and accurate translation of all content into the local language and dialect as well as modification of many site components. These include, for example, time, date and currency formats which differ by country; reversal of page layouts for right-to-left reading languages (such as Hebrew and Arabic); modification of contact telephone numbers and addresses to local in-country vendors: elimination of culturally inappropriate icons or images and the addition of new links to content in the appropriate language.

Localization Testing Lab

ASET will test the final web site in the localized environment, review each screen, menu, link and graphic and will trigger all system and error messages and links to ensure all U/Is, graphics and help content are correct and display properly in the localized language. Usability testing is performed jointly by a localization engineer and native speaker of the target language. Testers record results on a QA Test Form. Copies of test results and recorded metrics are available upon request. Note that QA checks are performed throughout the localization process. 

A proof of concept will be performed early on for purposes of debugging the localization process early in the project. The main purpose of this proof of concept is to identify any potential engineering or localization issues early on, in order to avoid future problems that could cause delays in the project.

Our objective is to identify and resolve potential bugs before they occur. ASET can also provide you with testing resources (engineers and/or linguists) to perform complete usability testing for your application on-site at your facility.
