From the President ...
As I follow current events in the paper and on the evening news, I am reminded on a daily basis that foreign languages are mission-critical.
As a leading integrator of foreign language services with technology, we at ASET International recognize the importance of delivering high quality solutions to diverse government and commercial customers.
Although it is common for foreign language service companies to be owned and managed by non-linguists, ASET was founded in 1989 by a team of professional translators. Our team now includes translators, interpreters, managers, graphic artists, animators, engineers and other extraordinarily talented specialists.
Our in-depth understanding of both language and technology makes a critical difference to our customers – customers who in turn, protect our borders and defend our allies; improve medical care; enable international communications; promote the cause of international justice; improve the global economy; and much more.
We are proud to contribute our language and technology prowess to such efforts and are committed to exceeding customer expectations through quality, efficiency, and integrity.

From the COO ...
In today's competitive global business environment, your ability to deliver your message in a local language can mean the difference between market growth and the loss of market share to a competitor. And increasingly throughout the EU and Asia, government agencies are requiring that user and safety information on products be translated into local languages.
Translating brochures, web sites, user guides, safety information, videos or training software into dozens of languages can be a daunting task, which is why virtually all of the Fortune 500 companies rely on outside language services providers to deliver quality solutions to their language requirements.
Finding a qualified language services provider can be a challenge to even the most sophisticated international business. Every day, new buyers of translation or interpreting services ask themselves important questions about potential language vendors: How reliable is their work? Do they understand my business? Can they handle all my products? And since I don't speak these languages, how do I know if their work is any good?
In a recent article evaluating language service providers, the Wall Street Journal concluded that "ASET consistently provided good translations." Having a thumbs-up from the top business journal in the United States is a good indication that a company provides a quality product. However, these types of reviews are not always available or accessible when you are up against a critical deadline. In order to make an informed decision, there are certain criteria you can keep in mind in evaluating potential partner companies: Do they offer a broad range of language services, including technical services (for your web site, videos and other materials)? How many years have they been in business? Do they have a QA program? What is their long-term track record with major corporations in your sector? And do they offer services in enough languages to cover your requirements?
Now in our 18th year of service, ASET continues to provide exceptional-quality language services to clients in over 135 languages. We've grown from a small start-up with only three employees to a full-service company with 92 in-house and over 3,000 contractor employees in 29 countries.
This impressive growth has come as a result of the excellent quality of our product and the first-rate customer service provided by ASET's dedicated and talented staff. We are proud to have had the opportunity to succeed and grow with some of America's most prestigious companies and critical national security programs. We look forward to another 20 years of service to our clients in the new millennium.
